André's newest album is prophetic. "And the Waltz Goes On" is not only symbolic of André's supreme desire to take the waltz to the world, but also the title of a piece by Sir Anthony Hopkins, who penned the piece more than half a century ago and sent it to André. The result - an emotional debut in Vienna in the presence of the great actor and the title of Andre's newest CD, which features entirely new recorded repertoire. What's more, André has composed a waltz himself for the occasion - ‘Grande Valse Viennoise' - which sets the album off to a rousing start.

French and German folksongs, a hit by Elvis Presley ("Are You Lonesome Tonight"), the evergreen "Singing in the Rain" and the immortal song of the war years, "We'll Meet Again" made famous by Dame Vera Lynn all make an appearance on the album, and as with each title on the album, have a special relevance to André's life and work.
"My new album presents waltzes from around the world - a sad waltz from Finland, a miniature waltz from France, a popular waltz tune that began life in Germany, and then reaching across continents we go all the way to New Zealand. You see, the waltz is universal. It can be full of surprises."

When in New Zealand on tour in 2011, inspired by its stunning landscape, heartbroken by the natural disasters that has beset it in recent times, elevated by the indomitable "life must go on" attitude of its people, André penned another waltz, a dream-like waltz, like mountains seen through the mist. It's called Dreaming Of New Zealand and appears on the album in both instrumental and vocal alternatives, the latter featuring the unblemished purity of voice and vision of New Zealand's own star, Hayley Westenra.
